Blue Barn Creative, LLC ("Blue Barn," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit bluebarncreative.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have to control it.

By using our website, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

When you fill out a contact form, request a proposal, book a discovery call, or email us, we collect the information you submit — typically your name, email address, phone number, company, and any details about your project.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain technical information, including:

  • IP address and approximate geographic location (city / region level)
  • Browser type, operating system, device type, and screen size
  • Pages viewed, links clicked, time on page, and referring website
  • Unique identifiers stored in cookies and similar technologies
  • Which advertising campaign you arrived from, across Google Ads, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Microsoft Advertising (Bing), and Reddit
  • Session activity recordings. We use Microsoft Clarity, which records how you interact with individual pages — mouse movement, clicks, scrolling, and rage/dead clicks — and replays those sessions to us so we can find usability problems. Clarity masks text input fields by default, so what you type into a form is not captured, but the recording does capture the pages you view and how you move through them.

2. Cookies and tracking technologies

We use cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies on this site. The categories are:

  • Strictly necessary: Required for the site to function (e.g., security, load balancing, basic preferences). These cannot be disabled.
  • Analytics: Help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. We use Google Analytics 4 and Vercel Analytics.
  • Session replay: Microsoft Clarity records and replays individual browsing sessions (mouse movement, clicks, and scrolling) and produces heatmaps, so we can see where the site is confusing. Text you type into form fields is masked by default.
  • Advertising and measurement: Help us measure the performance of our advertising and show relevant ads on other websites you visit. These tags are loaded through Google Tag Manager, and include Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing (using DoubleClick / googleadservices.com cookies), the Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram), the Microsoft Advertising UET tag (Bing), and the Reddit Pixel.

3. How we use your information

We use the information described above to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and provide the services you request
  • Send proposals, scopes, and project communications
  • Send occasional marketing emails (you can unsubscribe at any time)
  • Operate, secure, and improve the website
  • Measure the performance of our marketing across Google Ads, Meta, Microsoft Advertising, and Reddit
  • Review recorded sessions and heatmaps to diagnose usability problems and improve the site
  • Show you relevant Blue Barn ads on other websites and apps (remarketing)
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements

4. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We do share information with the following categories of recipients, and some of that sharing may qualify as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law (see Section 6):

  • Service providers who help us operate the site and our business — including Vercel (hosting and analytics), Cloudflare (DNS, security, and video delivery), Vimeo (video embeds), and Typeform (forms).
  • Advertising and analytics partners — Google (Analytics, Ads, Tag Manager, and DoubleClick), Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram advertising), Microsoft (Advertising / Bing, and Clarity session replay), and Reddit. These partners may use cookies and similar technologies on our site to measure ad performance and serve you relevant ads on other sites and apps.
  • Professional advisors (accountants, attorneys, insurers) when needed.
  • In response to legal process or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of others.
  • In a business transaction — if Blue Barn is acquired, merged, or sells assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5. Third-party links and embeds

Our site contains embedded content (such as Vimeo players and Typeform forms), links to third-party sites, and advertising and analytics tags from Google, Meta, Microsoft, and Reddit. Those third parties have their own privacy practices, which we don't control. We encourage you to review their policies.

6. Your rights and choices

All visitors

California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect about you, the right to delete it, the right to correct inaccurate information, the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

We do not sell personal information in the traditional sense, but our use of remarketing and conversion-tracking cookies from Google, Meta, Microsoft, and Reddit may qualify as "sharing" under the CCPA. To opt out of this sharing, you can:

  • Use the platform opt-out links above (Google, Meta, Microsoft, and Reddit)
  • Enable Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser — we honor GPC signals as an opt-out of sharing for advertising
  • Email us at contact@bluebarncreative.com with the subject line "CCPA Request"

EEA / UK residents (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, port, or object to our processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. Our legal bases for processing are: your consent (for marketing and non-essential cookies), performance of a contract (for project work), and our legitimate interests (in operating, securing, and improving our business). 7. Data retention

We keep information you submit through forms and email for as long as we have a business relationship with you, plus a reasonable period after for legal, tax, and recordkeeping purposes. Analytics data is retained per the default settings of Google Analytics 4 (14 months) and Vercel Analytics. Microsoft Clarity retains session recordings for 30 days (recordings we label or favorite, and a small automatic sample, for up to 9 months) and heatmap data for 9 months. Advertising identifiers held by Google, Meta, Microsoft, and Reddit are retained under those companies' own policies, which we do not control. You can request earlier deletion of anything we hold at any time.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. International visitors

Blue Barn is based in the United States. If you access the site from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the U.S. by us and our service providers.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last Updated" date at the top. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
